"Police officers know that even a single repeat offender is capable of committing a significant number of crimes, especially if he is not properly supervised in the community. Through this partnership patrol officers have a direct say in how offenders are monitored, we know the conditions of their community supervision orders, and we are part of a team of professionals who know how to assure that offenders comply with those orders. The Collaborative helps us to do one of the most important parts of police work - preventing crimes from happening in the first place".
